Terms of service

Last updated: 22 September 2026

These terms govern your use of ATOM, provided by Samuel Richard Joyce in Australia ("we", "us" or "our"), including atomworks.app and our web, desktop and field applications. By using ATOM, you agree to these terms. If you use ATOM for an organisation, you must have authority to act for it. An agreed written service agreement takes precedence where it conflicts with these terms. Contact support@atomworks.app with questions.

The service

ATOM helps organisations manage maintenance requests, work orders, scheduling, communications, quotes and invoices. Features depend on your plan, configuration and connected services. ATOM provides software; it does not perform maintenance work or replace professional advice, safety procedures or your organisation's responsibilities to its customers and workers. Do not rely on ATOM as an emergency-response service.

Accounts and authorised use

Provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and give access only to authorised people. Workspace administrators are responsible for membership, permissions and enabled integrations. Tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity you authorise and for using the service in accordance with applicable laws and the rights of other people.

Do not use ATOM to send unlawful or unsolicited communications, upload malicious content, infringe intellectual property or privacy rights, access another person's data without permission, bypass security or usage limits, or disrupt the service. You must obtain any consent needed to upload contact information or send email, SMS or other communications.

Your information and content

You retain your rights in the content you supply. You grant us permission to host, copy, transmit and process it only as needed to provide, secure and support ATOM and fulfil our legal obligations, subject to our Privacy policy. You must have the rights and authority needed to provide that content and to allow its use in your workspace.

Keep appropriate copies of records you need to retain. Workspace administrators control access to workspace records. Contact your administrator or support@atomworks.app about access, export or deletion; some records may need to be retained for legal or security reasons.

Integrations and communications

Connecting a third-party account authorises ATOM to access and process information within the permissions you grant and the features you enable. Gmail access is optional and can be disconnected in ATOM or revoked through your Google Account. Disconnection does not automatically delete information already imported into ATOM. Google data is handled as described in our Privacy policy, including Google's Limited Use requirements.

Third-party services have their own terms, availability and charges. You are responsible for reviewing recipients and content before authorising communications. A provider accepting a message does not guarantee delivery or that its recipient has read or acted on it.

AI-assisted features and approvals

AI-generated summaries, suggestions, classifications and drafts may be inaccurate or incomplete. Check them against the underlying records before relying on them. You remain responsible for business decisions, permissions, approvals and actions you authorise, including any automated workflows you enable. Do not use AI output as a substitute for qualified legal, financial, safety or other professional advice.

Plans, billing and cancellation

Prices, billing periods, trial conditions and applicable taxes are shown when you subscribe or in your written agreement. Recurring subscriptions renew on the disclosed billing cycle until cancelled. Manage your subscription through the available billing controls or contact support. Cancellation takes effect according to your plan or agreement; it does not remove charges already incurred. Refunds are provided where required by law or expressly agreed. We will give notice of material price or plan changes before they apply to your subscription.

Availability, changes and suspension

We aim to keep ATOM available, but maintenance, faults, network failures and third-party outages may interrupt it. Unless separately agreed, we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change features and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable.

We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect security, comply with law, address a material breach of these terms or deal with overdue charges. We will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue where practicable. You may stop using ATOM and request closure through support. Ending access does not remove accrued payment obligations or rights that must survive termination; information is handled under our Privacy policy.

Our intellectual property

We and our licensors retain rights in ATOM's software, branding and documentation. Subject to these terms and your subscription, you may use the service for its intended business purpose. These terms do not transfer ownership of ATOM or give you rights in another customer's content.

Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights and any written service agreement, the service is provided on an as-available basis. Each party remains responsible for its obligations under applicable law.

Questions, disputes and updates

These terms are governed by applicable Australian law. This does not limit any mandatory rights or protections available to you under the law where you live.

Contact support@atomworks.app first so we can try to resolve a service issue or dispute. This does not prevent you from using available legal remedies. We may revise these terms and will publish the revised version here with an updated date. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes before they take effect, except where an urgent legal or security change is needed. If you disagree with a change, you may stop using the service and cancel your subscription.
